NSSE and FSSE 2010 Registration Opens
Registration is open for NSSE and FSSE 2010, initiating the eleventh survey cycle for NSSE and the seventh for FSSE. The registration sites for the two surveys are integrated to allow institutions to register for both surveys at once, or each survey separately.
NEW! All NSSE Web-only administrations are now offered as a census of all first-year and senior students.
Please contact our office at nsse@indiana.edu or 812-856-5824 if you have questions.

Westminster has participated in FSSE each year since 2005. Using FSSE in tandem with NSSE and BCSSE has allowed Westminster to compare student and faculty responses with the institution's five campus-wide learning goals. Westminster's students and faculty both confirm that the College's learning goals are consistently emphasized in the classroom.
FSSE findings are shared internally with key groups and are used to inform campus decisions. In addition to sharing FSSE results with deans and program chairs of various academic departments, the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment hosts an annual Institutional Effectiveness Retreat in January. The half-day retreat includes senior staff members, deans, and members of the Board of Trustees. To prepare, IR staff members spend the fall semester analyzing data from various surveys (e.g. NSSE, FSSE, BSSE, CLA, and multiple internal surveys), paying close attention to longitudinal progress. Though the retreat is only two years old, it has proven to be an effective tactic to facilitate a discussion on campus assessment efforts and how results can be best applied to enhance institutional effectiveness.
If you would like to share how your institution uses FSSE results, or learn how other institutions like Westminster College have used their FSSE results, please email us at fsse@indiana.edu.
